Combustion Media steps up to the plate as
the Grand Prairie AirHogs advertising partner
DALLAS, TX—February 2009—Combustion Media, Inc. (CMI) announced today that they have signed a one-year agreement with the AirHogs to manage advertising opportunities in QuikTrip Park at Grand Prairie. CMI acting as an advertising partner will take on the responsibility of securing advertisers for specific pre-existing outdoor advertising areas.
The smell of hotdogs, fresh roasted peanuts and the crack of a bat beckons over 300,000 visitors to QuikTrip Park each year. Advertisers can garner nine innings of exposure to consumers for less than ten cents per attendee per game at one of the AirHogs 48 home games. Advertisers will be able to reach their consumers by leasing promotional space in one of the 14’ x 9’ back-lit display
areas positioned on the main scoreboard in center field or large banners mounted on the outfield wall. CMI will secure the advertisers, manage print production and will be available for custom design and copywriting if requested.
“We are taking an innovative approach to stadium advertising by taking an integral piece of the responsibility for the ball club’s advertising. We will manage the advertising, which is what we do best, allowing the baseball club to concentrate on baseball which is what they do best” said Tim McCallum, President and CEO of Combustion Media. “We feel that we can offer exciting advertising opportunities for major brands and retailers, giving them exposure to the fans of the team and the fans exposure to the advertisers products.”

The Grand Prairie AirHogs played their inaugural home game on May 16, 2008 in QuikTrip Park voted “Best New Ballpark In America” by Baseball Digest. The 87,000 sq. ft. sports facility seats 6,000 with 4,000 permanent seats, 12 luxury suites known as “hangers” and 2,000 lawn/berm seats. The park also boasts a kid’s zone, grill, party decks, a left field sports bar and swimming pool.
The Grand Prairie AirHogs were the 2008 American Association of Independent Professional Baseball Southern Division Champions and are owned by Grand Prairie Professional Baseball a subsidiary of Ventura Sports Group, Inc.
